Typically, the color grey is associated with words like sorrow, detachment, and lack of character. Sounds pretty depressing, right?

Recently, within the world of fashion, there has become a sudden interest in grey.

Why? No one knows exactly. Perhaps the movie, 50 Shades of Grey has sparked a greater appreciation for the color.

Whatever the case may be, I decided to keep it casual in this all grey outfit. Overall, the look itself is very simple.

For example, the solid color military surplus coat, long line tee, skinny jeans, and desert boots take simplicity to the next level. The leopard print sweatshirt adds a little character to my overall appearance.

Known for her striking looks and fun personality, Adrianna loves to get comfortable in her favorite casual pieces.

Take for instance, this week’s individual style feature. Today, Adrianna put a new twist on the word “relaxed.” Her elongated plaid shirt and cuffed denim jeans are simple, yet chic at the same time. Of course, this is a great option if you have one or two things to do on your day off from work.

Adrianna agrees and had this to say about her featured look, “I usually throw something similar on when I’m going to run errands or headed to a kickback but still looking to be cute! It’s still stylish but I can hang without being uncomfortable.”

For a finishing touch, Adrianna decided to slide into a pair of leather booties. Not only are the shoes comfortable, you can walk long distances with little to no pain.

How Did I Wear…

post_bryce3_121915_01post_bryce3_121915_02post_bryce3_121915_03post_bryce3_121915_04post_bryce3_121915_05Jacket: Thrifted | Sweatsuit: ASOS |
Sneakers: Converse

How did I wear…a thrifted leather jacket?

When in doubt, wear all black. For this look, I decided to wear a matching sweatsuit under my vintage leather jacket.

Tip: Shopping for a leather jacket can be a little tricky. Since I like the worn leather look, the thrift store was the perfect place to go. If you also like this particular style, head over to your local salvation army.

The jacket itself has a contrasting color scheme between black and brown. Thus, I decided to play it safe by sticking with one of the two colors.

Tip: In regards to thrifted merchandise, don’t worry if your jacket is a size too big. You can’t wear everything too fitted, especially when you are going for a retro look. Just make sure your sleeves fit properly.

Continuing with this vintage theme, I threw on my old Chuck Taylors. You can’t go wrong when a sweatsuit and sneakers are in the mix! Just in case these sneakers are a little too thin for your liking, I suggest wearing a pair of leather boots instead.

Tip: If black is not your thing, try to mix match your solid color garments with denim. Just play around with your wardrobe, I’m sure you will find something.
