AN EASY WAY TO DRESS FOR FALL

COLE WOODS | EASTAMPTON, NJ

What she wore: A turtleneck sweater, skinny jeans, and boots.

Style tip: Ladies, keep it simple in your favorite, turtleneck sweater this season. Fortunately, most sweaters look great when worn with skinny or boyfriend jeans. The result? The most put together look in your wardrobe!

STYLE SPOTLIGHT: GLASS

“Welcome to “Style Spotlight,” a series dedicated to our most inspiring, fashion influencers.”

Meet Glass, founder of Stained Glass Entertainment and Verre Maison digital magazine.

Hey everyone! Lets give a warm welcome to Glass, dancer, performing artist, creative, and the founder of Stained Glass Entertainment and Verre Maison digital magazine – both companies focus on mental health and the arts. Today, we sat down with Glass to discuss his personal style preferences and fashion interests below:

Where are you from?

I was born in Media, PA, but raised in Chester and Philadelphia.

How do you define your personal style? What or who are your some of your style inspirations?

My personal style is pretty much whatever I throw on. Nine times out of ten, I receive the most compliments when I put little to no effort in my appearance.

On the flip side, I like to wear pieces that can tell a story. As a full time creative and performing artist, I like to connect with people. When I walk into a room, and I allow my clothes to say what my words can’t.

What are the essential pieces you must have in your closet?

First, a solid-color, tailored suit that fits your body right. You can also take it up a notch with a few accessories. In addition, a nice dinner suit jacket and jeans are always essential.

Where do you shop?

I love to thrift! Stores like Buffalo or Urban Exchange are my spots. For more upscale looks, I shop at LR2 and purchase a lot of custom garments here and there.

Describe your personal style in three words?

Bold, artistic, and free.

Any fashion related tips?

I have a few tips: 1) Whatever you wear and wear it with confidence; 2) Work with what you got. When you feel as though you have less, less is more; 3) Look your best on the outside when you take care of what’s on the inside.

HOW TO UPDATE THE ALL BLACK TREND THIS FALL

ISAAC | PHILADELPHIA, PA

What he wore: An oversized mock neck t-shirt, cargo joggers, and sneakers.

Style tip: As if we needed more reasons to wear monochromatic looks this season. The all black trend happens to be staple in every city dweller’s closet. When styling, play with different shades to create a dope look. There’s little room for error here.

STYLE SPOTLIGHT: KRIS CANNON

“Welcome to “Style Spotlight,” a series dedicated to our most inspiring, fashion influencers.”

Introducing Kris Cannon, a singer, thriftaholic, and naturalista from North Jersey.

We’re kicking off the week with an incredibly talented singer, Kris Cannon.  This self proclaimed “Music Therapist” has an eye for everything fashion related and loves to combine different colors and prints together. Plus, she loves to thrift! Wow! There’s just so much to unpack here! Let’s take a deeper dive into Kris Cannon’s “Style Spotlight” below:

Where are you from?

I was born in Long Island, NY but grew up in Montclair, NJ. I’ve been in Philly for six years now.

How do you define your personal style? What or who are your some of your style inspirations?

I think my personal style would be 90s streetwear fashion, movies, and music.

I’m inspired by colors and shapes. I have an appreciation for mix and matching things that usually don’t go together.

Also, I love Will Smith. He has some of the flyest outfits I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t forget my girl Teyana Taylor.

What are the essential pieces you must have in your closet?

There’s always room for finger arm and neck candy (A lot of rings, necklaces, and bracelets) and glasses, worn with a fresh pair sneakers! I love enhancing my outfits with sneakers!

Where do you shop?

I do a lot of thrifting. It’s become a big part of my sense of style and fashion. I find so many pieces in secondhand stores. I really enjoy Boohoo and ASOS as well.

Describe your personal style in three words?

Nineties, bold, and authentic!

Any fashion related tips?

Wear whatever you want, and wear whatever makes you happy. Trends, magazines, and social media are great, but life would be pretty boring if we all had to look and dress the same. Just be you, be free, and wear whatever makes you feel good.
