THE STRIPED PANTS YOU NEED THIS SEASON

BARRETT | PHILADELPHIA, PA

What she wore: Black and white striped pants, a leather bra, and heels.

Style tip: The best pants this summer? The bold, striped pants! Pair with a solid color shirt or blouse to keep the attention below the waist. If you’re feeling a little adventurous and want to show some more skin, consider a leather bra. Our girl Barrett pulled this look of with ease.

Where are you from?

Hi, my name is Zulieka! I’m from Philadelphia, PA, and I’m currently living in Upper Darby.

How do you define your personal style? What or who are your some of your style inspirations?

I define my personal style as classy, sporty, and also mixing business with pleasure (I like to wear sneakers with basically every outfit).

What are the essential pieces you must have in your closet?

Some essential pieces that I must have in my closet are sneakers, any type of headwrap or scarf, and rings.

Where do you shop?

I shop anywhere and everywhere including thrift stores, Amazon, the GAP, and Old Navy (Wherever I can find great clothes). I love pieces that I can easily dress up or down. That works for me!

Describe your personal style in three words?

Classy, sexy, and sporty!

Any fashion related tips?

A fashion related tip that I have is to always have the basic pieces in your closet: jeans; white t-shirts; solid colors. That way, you can dress them up or down. Just make sure you have your basics!

WHAT TO WEAR WHEN TRAVELING

COLE WOODS | LUMBERTON, NJ

What she wore: A leather moto jacket, an animal print bikini top, and khaki shorts.

Style tip: The big secret to traveling stylish is comfort! Think: how are you going to carry all those heavy bags in stuffy clothes? You’re not! So, you might as well throw on something simple, yet chic. For example, Cole Woods decided to wear her brown moto jacket over an animal print bikini top and khaki shorts.

STYLE SPOTLIGHT: ROMEO

“Welcome to “Style Spotlight,” a series dedicated to our most inspiring, fashion influencers.”

Meet Romeo, an aesthetically pleasing gentleman from Philadelphia.

Meet Romeo, another stylish fella from the City of Brotherly Love. If you’re a lover of everything warm and moody, his social media aesthetic is more than impressive. Today, we sat down to chat with Romeo to talk about his personal style journey. Check out the full story below:

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Philadelphia!

How do you define your personal style? What or who are your some of your style inspirations?

My style is really not very specific. It’s whatever you consider comfortable, and show-offy at the same time. I would say my style inspirations would be anything on the street (I like colors and different genders). Essentially, whatever catches my eye!

What are the essential pieces you must have in your closet?

I have a bracelet that I will never take off. It’s a spiritual bracelet for Shango. Also, I always own a pair of boots. I might not always wear boots, but as long as I have boots and white sneakers, I’m good to go!

Where do you shop?

I shop online, thrift stores, and places like ASOS and SHEIN. Those are really the main places I shop.

Describe your personal style in three words?

Sexy, fun, and comfortable!

Any fashion related tips?

I would definitely say just be yourself. Honestly, whatever you want to wear, wear it! Don’t push yourself if you’re not comfortable. Don’t do it just because other people think it’s cool. Just be yourself, and take your time.
