Casual: Winter Accessories

With the first official day of spring right around the corner, we are still encountering winter storms every other weekend.

Don’t get us wrong, snowfall is one of the most beautiful elements of mother nature. However, more than one snow storm a season can affect your life depending on how to dress in the snow.

For instance, we found a common correlation between personal style, health, and snow storms. Wait, how are these related? Think about it, if your clothing gets ruined or wet in the snow, you are more inclined to get sick or freeze to death outside. If you happen to get sick, forget about those late winter sales at the mall. Thus, it is very important to invest in a variety of winter accessories. You can never have too many hats, gloves, and scarves for the winter.

With all that being said, we wanted to dedicate this post to winter accessories. Below, our veteran personal style model Janaia shows us how she wears her scarf, gloves, and jacket in the middle of a snow storm.

Although he loves living on the east coast, Matthias wants to maximize his talents and skills and move elsewhere. He plans on taking his modeling and acting skill set to the next level by moving to the city where any dream can become a reality, Los Angeles, California.

Before he leaves, Matthias shows us his interpretation of personal style below.

Casual: The Military Jacket

Depending on the location of your current residence, some experience the wrath of winter more than  others. If you are an inhabitant of the Northern states, you have experienced the “wrath” quite a few times. For example, people that live Northern cities like Philadelphia experience extremely cold winters, with many days of snowfall.

So, what does this mean for your wardrobe? You need a number of layers if you want to survive outside. The traditional northerner should own a variety of jackets, hat, scarves, and gloves for those cold afternoons and freezing evenings.

There are a number of jackets and coats to be purchased. However, you should invest in a piece of outerwear that is trendy and meets the weather requirements.

This leads us to a discussion of outwear with Rodney. Lets take a look at what Rodney plans to style his outwear, the military jacket.

Casual: Corduroy Shorts

As mentioned in previous posts this year, we live in a world where the weather is so unpredictable. Some days it may feel like fall and spring temperature wise, but yet we are in the winter season. What do I wear?!

In order to maintain your outdoor appearance to the general, one must enhance the level of versatility within his or her wardrobe. What that means is that you should invest in clothing that can be worn under any circumstance.

This leads us to today’s featured post. Recently, we had the opportunity to meet up with one of our new personal style models this season, Kennisha. Our recent Temple graduate shows us how to combine winter garments with not so cold temperatures.
