When was the last time you wore a matching top and shorts set? Well, if you have anything in common with our girl Takeira, you will never miss an opportunity to wear one. The matching two piece set has regained popularity this year, and may bleed over into 2018. So, make sure you find a colorful top and shorts set before they sell out.

If matching isn’t your thing, you can always split up your sets. Remember, both pieces can be worn separately.

So, how do you plan to style your matching two piece set this season? Feel free to share below.

As most millennials say, “Do it for the culture,” the rise in traditional African garments has become more popular than ever. Take, for instance, the modern dashiki. Created in a variety of colors, this Western African garment has become a summer staple  over the last couple of years.

Here, Jason represents his personal style through ethnic inspired prints. For his look, he wore a blue dashiki, and paired it with rolled up, green khakis. Since dashikis are naturally bright in color, it’s always nice to compliment it with bottoms that will bring out the color.

Now that our favorite season is officially winding down, it’s only natural to go through some wear and tear on your summer wardrobe. With that being said, Tomarra from FlyyTheory shows us how to dress up a floral print skirt with a solid color blouse. Now, this is not any old floral skirt, but a skirt created by the loving hands of Tomarra’s mother. In addition, the contrasting black and white print looks great with a brown, leather gladiator sandal.

Simplicity goes a long way, especially during those random summer afternoons when you’re running a thousand errands. You know, modern day grocery shopping, taking your car to the shop,  paying bills. Pretty much “adulting.”

Before we continue, let’s first take a look at Eli’s outfit. Today, he shows us how to pull a simple, yet stylish look together. Eli chose to wear a crisp, v-neck white tee with a pair of slim grey denim. To add a little bit of a flare, Eli donned the trendy dad hat and gold necklace. The take home lesson? If you’re going to dress relaxed for the day, it’s always nice to play up your look with a simple accessory.  It’s simple, but effective!
