After 5: Dinner Date

As the founder and creative genius behind “Product of the 90s” and “Themicole,” our neirborhood friend Tannis, knows a thing or two about editorials, pop culture, music, and personal style.

This twenty three year old, freelance writer from Montclair, NJ is able to demonstrate her personal style through her daily escapades:

I enjoy the luxury of not being able to define my style. It changes as I do. A big part of my style depends on the environment that I am in. I always manage to add my own flair to traditional looks so that if a friend sees me they’re like, “Oh, that’s so Tannis.” – Tannis

For today’s post, Tannis shows the ladies how to dress appropriately for a dinner date after work.

This is an outfit I would wear for a date night. It’s a simple look, which is how I like to keep most things, but the heels add a layer to it. You can go to dinner, a walk in the park, a bar or a social gathering in this outfit. – Tannis

The New Jersey native understands the importance of casual wear with a hint of elegance and it definately shows throughout her entire outfit. Tannis manages to enhance and add a level of sophistication by incorporating a classic black and white color scheme with her button down, shorts, heels, and accessories.

I love a classic black and white outfit, your accessories can really make a break the outfit. – Tannis

The clothes and accessories were purchased from various retail distributors and stores like Anne Michelle, Banana Republic, H&M, and Michael Kors. If you are looking for high quality business or casual attire, Banana Republic is the store for you. Tannis purchased her black button down shirt from Banana Republic for an affordable price. For more casual pieces, H&M offers a variety of clothing that can be worn around the house or to work. Tannis purchased her shorts from this store.

These heels are my latest obsessions, they make any casual outfit a bit more dressed up. – Tannis

We have to agree with Tannis. As mentioned previously, the heels take her business casual otufit up a notch. They definately enhance her overall look. The heels were designed by Anne Michelle.
