Button-Up: Ralph Lauren |
Pants: H&M | Saddle Shoes: G.H. Bass

Excluding the saddle shoes and gingham button-up, this entire look was put together for less than $50.

$50? That is amazing! Bryce, do you have some type of connection. Not at all, I just happen to find good sale, even without looking. Now, here is a little insight on my sale secret. My best shopping days are on weekdays. More specifically, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are major sale days.

Why? I’m not really sure, but most retail stores are receive new shipments on those p days. I guess you can say, “Out with the old, and in with the new. When new merchandise arrives, Most of the in-season clothes are marked down.

All in all, the light weight jersey jacket, sweater, and corduroy pants were purchased were dirt cheap. Beyond the reduced price, these items look great in the snow!

Anyone that knows me can tell you that I am not the biggest fan of wearing suits. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate a nice tailored suit. However, I am a simple kind of guy. Distressed jeans, sweatshirts, and tassel loafers, are my go-to for everything.

So, regardless of my personal preferences, I threw on a suit today!

Before you start scratching your head, please note that I purchased this entire suit for $45 from H&M. Yes, $45! It was one of those “Take an Extra 30% Off” sale days.

Rather than dressing up the suit with a necktie and button-up, I decided to dress it down with a black v-neck sweater. You can call this one of those going out type of looks.

Button-up: Forever21 | Jeans: Hot Topic |
Boots: G.H. Bass

Based on the amount of snow we received this weekend, I guess you can say it’s officially winter.

After the storm finally ended, I decided to venture outside wearing a vintage camo jacket, Hillman College sweatshirt, button-up, skinny jeans, and a pair of boots.

I guess you can consider this a modern prep look, especially with the sweatshirt, button-down combo.

For a finishing touch, I decided to wear this fun, winter appropriate hat from H&M.

With the help of my good friend Seonne, we put together two, retro inspired looks. In case you didn’t understand my love for everything old school, know that I spent a lot of time conceptualizing these 60s inspired outfits.

Take, for instance, this graphic tee from What’s Up African? Apparel. Not only does this “Unify or Die” shirt pay homage to the new generation of liberation fighters, it challenges the many years of systematic racism and social inequalities through two powerful words.

Sounds deep, right?

Since the shirt already has a powerful message, we decided to tone it down with other black pieces. For myself, I went with a black moto jacket, skinny jeans, and a pair of classic Chuck Taylors.

Now, I can’t speak for Seonne, but I’m loving both of these looks. We definitely put a modern twist on this militant inspired style.
