Jeans: River Island | Shoes: Converse

For this particular look, I decided to dress down a navy blazer with a simple muscle tee and distressed jeans. Now, don’t get me wrong, I can appreciate a nice blazer and button-up combo. However, it’s not my personal preference to “dress up” every single day. So, the muscle tee was a great option.

For a finishing touch, style your distressed jeans with a pair of sneakers. In the world of fashion, sneakers in general go a long way. So, why not invest in a pair that will withstand the testament of time?

If sneakers are not your area of expertise, invest in a pair of Converse. They are the best way to go, especially since you have a nostalgic sense of style like me.

Shorts: American Eagle | Sneakers: American Eagle

Not to be confused with the previous “How did I wear” post, I styled my favorite trench coat with a Mean Girls inspired sweatshirt, cut-off denim shorts, and a pair of floral print sneakers.

Mean Girls inspired sweatshirt? While this may seem like a bit of a stretch, but Mean Girls is one of the best movies of our generation. Not only is the film a true representation of our everyday social experiences, but it’s filled with classic one liners. So, any reference to this movie is a plus, especially on a sweatshirt.

Before we wrap up this post, lets not forget to discuss the long jacket and shorts pairing. Now, I’m not sure whether or not this combo works, but it suites this particular look quite well.

Jeans: H&M | Boots: ASOS |

Based on a previous post, it should come as no surprise that I put together another retro inspired look. I brought the 90s back yet again by styling a simple cut-off sweatshirt with a pair of distressed skinny jeans and leather chelsea boots.

A cut-off sweatshirt? Where can I find one? Try stores like Forever21, especially since that’s where I purchased mine. If you are feeling a little adventurous, make one yourself.

Other than the retro sweatshirt, this outfit was missing a key component. Without hesitating, I tied an old shirt around my waist to finish off my look. Although this trend may be getting a little played out, it’s still one of my favorites.

Suede Loafers: ASOS

Since ordering these reptile print pants from ASOS, I decided to style them with a dark wash denim shirt from H&M and a pair of suede loafers. Normally, I would wear these pants with a blazer and crew neck tee, but I decided to keep it simple this week.

To be honest, I was a little hesitant about purchasing these pants. However, I’m glad I did! They are very stylish, and comfortable at the same time. Plus, the contrasting denim with the white and black print look great together.
