For this weekend’s individual style feature, our girl Kelli shows how to dress appropriately for a chilly evening.

Known for her chic and classy style, Kelli is all about statement pieces! Even much so, she put together an outfit including a long sleeve crop top, skirt, boots, and a brightly colored pea coat.

In general, the wool pea coat is the perfect outerwear piece, especially during a chilly evening. Once you add a bold color like red to the mix, you have a very appealing look.

Even further, we love how Kelli was able to balance out her outfit using warmer colors. For example, shades of red and yellow go perfectly together, even when you add a little black to the mix.

Overall, this the perfect evening look. Great job Kelli!

Strictly Business: Casual Professional

post_kris3_093015_01post_kris3_093015_02post_kris3_093015_03post_kris3_093015_04post_kris3_093015_05Blazer: Asos |
Sweater: H&M |
Pants: H&M |
Shoes: Aldo |
Pocket square and lapel pin: @bell67vintage

Comfort and professional! Two words that don’t seem like they’d go together. For some odd reason, most people are under the assumption that business casual, or professional clothing, has to be uncomfortable and stuffy.

For this post, Kris shows us how to dress professionally in the most casual way possible.

He states, “This look is a great casual-formal outfit. The blazer tops off the professional look while the sweater screams business casual. Wear this outfit to work and go straight out for happy hour while looking good and staying comfortable!”

To add that extra flair to his blazer, Kris added his very own custom pocket square and lapel pin. The pocket square, which was created from hand sewn vintage fabrics, was perfectly paired with the lapel pin, made of silk flowers and a gold kilt pin. Kris agrees, “Both of these items, alone or together, adds that finishing  touch that every blazer needs.”

In finishing off this look, Kris decided to add a debonair flair with his dark brown, double monk strap dress shoes.  “The dapper man should ALWAYS own a dark, brown dress shoe and a double monk strap. In my personal opinion, monk straps compared to any other style of shoe screams, I know what I’m doing here!”

Indeed Kris, indeed.

Here at UnregisteredStyle.com, we give props to anyone that can express themselves freely through fashion and personal style. It’s not an easy task to accomplish.

So, for this week’s individual style feature, we would like to introduce everyone to Amanda Moore-Karim, or simply Amanda Luxe. Straight out of Brooklyn, Amanda stops by to show off her latest street style look.

A self proclaimed urban enthusiast, Amanda has captured the true essence of street style in her tiny black skirt, booties, and thrifted green blazer. Lets not forget to mention her politically correct, “Brown as F*ck” t-shirt.” Such an appropriate way to end Black History Month, right? If you are looking for one, head over to thepplproject.com.

Overall, we love this look! It reminds us of a catholic school girl uniform, with an urban twist.

Oh, and how could we forget to mention her amazing website? Amandaluxe.com is one of the go-to spot for everything dope. From fashion blogging to attacking racial issues, her wide range of interest are both captivating and inspiring.

Casual: Thrifted Coat Part I

post_morgan1_121315_01post_morgan1_121315_02post_morgan1_121315_03post_morgan1_121315_05post_morgan1_121315_06Coat: Thrifted | Top: H&M |
Jeans: GAP | Heels: Kate Spade

As part one of our thrifted coat series, we’re discussing how to incorporate camel into your winter wardrobe.

To complete this task, we reached out to a friend of ours, Morgan. Known for her slightly edgy, yet creative looks, Morgan has a natural niche for finding everything at a low price.

For this post, she shows us how to work a camel coat.

Purchased for under $20, this coat is the perfect winter accessory. It’s very chic, comfortable, and warm as well. Plus, the coat’s extended length serve to protect Morgan from the harsh elements of Mother Nature.

She further styled her coat with a fitted black halter top, high waisted denim jeans, and a pair of leather heels.

From the looks of it, we guess you can say this is a modern take on the 90s fashion era. The heavy coat and fitted top combo are definitely giving us nostalgic vibes, especially with the contrasting colors.

Let’s not forget to discuss the high waisted jeans! Anything worn above the belly button is very reminiscent of the 90s era.

Be on the look out for Part II in the next few weeks.
