How did I wear…a tribal print cardigan?

Although it’s the first week of April, the temperature was relatively low in comparison to last month. If I knew it was going to be this cold, I would have never packed away my winter clothes.

So, with all that being said, I decided to step out today in one of my favorite sweaters. Now, this is not just any sweater, but a tribal print cardigan.

Tip: From denim shirts to racer back tanks, the tribal print cardigan can be worn with almost anything. Since this cardigan consists of many bold black and white prints, consider wearing a solid color tee.

As pictured above, I styled my cardigan with a muscle tee and a pair of denim joggers. Simple yet stylish, this outfit is perfect for a trip to the mall.

Tip: If the cardigan sleeves are a little too long for your liking, simply roll them up for a little forearm action. If you’re lucky, there may be a break in the temperature. So, the rolled up sleeve look may be your best option.

For a pop of color, I wore my newly purchased lace up sneakers from ASOS. I’ve actually been searching for a pair of fire engine red shoes for two years now. Luckily, I found these in clearance section for $20. What a deal, right?

How did I wear…a fishtail parka?

Since the longline trend is still holding on strong this season, the fishtail parka jacket is the perfect outerwear to compliment your spring collection. Don’t get me wrong, the trench coat is one of my favorite pieces over the last few years. However, the fishtail parka is my latest obsession.

Tip: There isn’t much that can’t be worn with the fishtail parka. So, depending on your mood, you can dress this jacket up or down with the appropriate pieces.

Initially used by the United States Army during the Korean War, this three quarter length coat is made from the most water resistant material available to consumers. Worn casually or with a suit, this jacket has many hats.

Tip: On a rainy day, try to style your jacket with a fun pair of sneakers or boots.

For this particular look, I wore my jacket with a 90s inspired geometric printed shirt from H&M. The shirt itself is very bold and brightly colored, which I can definitely appreciate. In addition, I wore my favorite white, distressed jeans with a pair of iridescent slip-in sneakers from ASOS.

Tip: Men are not the only ones that can get a hand on this great outerwear. Ladies you can have a little fun too! Consider wearing your favorite halter or crop top teamed with a pair of skinny jeans and booties. That sounds like a great look, right?

How did I wear…resin coated pants?

Before the weather changes completely, I decided to bring out my newly purchased resin coated pants from H&M.

Resin coated? Yes, you heard it correctly. Resin is a specific coating that gives us that leather look, especially in black.

Tip: Stick with solid colored tops when styling your resin coated pants. If you go with a print, try stripes or polka dots.

Since the pants speak for themselves, I decided to pair it with a longline green tee, chelsea boots, and a wide brim fedora.

Tip: It’s technically winter still, and you should have no problem wearing boots in March. Chelsea or combat, any style of boots can go with these pants.

Call me a ethnic leprechaun, but this is the perfect pre-St Pattys Day look.

Tip: When the weather gets a little chilly, don’t forget your denim coat.

How did I wear…a moto jacket?

As mentioned in a previous post, one of my favorite Christmas gifts this year was the black, leather moto jacket from H&M.

Tip: Although these coats were apparently sold everywhere, finding a decent Moto jacket was a very difficult task. Stores like H&M, Forever21, Zara, and ASOS were selling out like crazy! So, make sure to preorder or purchase one immediately upon discovery.

Why? To be honest, I’ve been in search of the perfect moto jacket for two years. This one had to stand out in the crowd. When opening this particular gift, I was more than satisfied.

Tip: Don’t settle for a simple moto jacket. There are many other options available. Consider my letterman/moto jacket if you can find it.

Not only was this jacket perfect for my street style wardrobe, it’s contrasting leather sleeves put a twist on the classic, letterman style.

Tip: Don’t confine your jacket to just casual looks. You can wear it with very casual, to formel looks. The possibilities are endless!

Styling wise, I paired together a simple muscle, crew neck tee from Asos with those infamous DIY distressed denim jeans. For a little black and brown contrast, I slid in to my favorite pair of suede, chelsea boots.

Most of my outfits are never complete without the inclusion of an old checkered flannel shirt. As shown above, I just tied it around my waist. Simple, right?
