How did I wear…a tribal print cardigan?

Although it’s the first week of April, the temperature was relatively low in comparison to last month. If I knew it was going to be this cold, I would have never packed away my winter clothes.

So, with all that being said, I decided to step out today in one of my favorite sweaters. Now, this is not just any sweater, but a tribal print cardigan.

Tip: From denim shirts to racer back tanks, the tribal print cardigan can be worn with almost anything. Since this cardigan consists of many bold black and white prints, consider wearing a solid color tee.

As pictured above, I styled my cardigan with a muscle tee and a pair of denim joggers. Simple yet stylish, this outfit is perfect for a trip to the mall.

Tip: If the cardigan sleeves are a little too long for your liking, simply roll them up for a little forearm action. If you’re lucky, there may be a break in the temperature. So, the rolled up sleeve look may be your best option.

For a pop of color, I wore my newly purchased lace up sneakers from ASOS. I’ve actually been searching for a pair of fire engine red shoes for two years now. Luckily, I found these in clearance section for $20. What a deal, right?

Today, Rashida, aka The MOVE PHILLY girl, drops by UnregisteredStyle to show off her favorite crop tops.

Whether you’re hitting a day party or spending the night with “bae,” Rashida has a crop top for every occasion. The first look is perfect for a Saturday in the city. The tied crop top look is the way to go, especially if you like showing off that perfect mid section, even after brunch and mimosas.

If you’re looking for some one on one time with someone special, the second look is for you! Rashida paired her stylish crop top sweater with a pleated black skirt and suede booties.

Last but not least, let’s not forget about her festival appropriate attire. Styled with a pair of skinny jeans and Chuck Taylors, Rashida is ready to see her favorite artist perform.

Men’s Style Mondays

Jeans: River Island | Shoes: Converse

For this particular look, I decided to dress down a navy blazer with a simple muscle tee and distressed jeans. Now, don’t get me wrong, I can appreciate a nice blazer and button-up combo. However, it’s not my personal preference to “dress up” every single day. So, the muscle tee was a great option.

For a finishing touch, style your distressed jeans with a pair of sneakers. In the world of fashion, sneakers in general go a long way. So, why not invest in a pair that will withstand the testament of time?

If sneakers are not your area of expertise, invest in a pair of Converse. They are the best way to go, especially since you have a nostalgic sense of style like me.

Strictly Business: The Khaki Suit

post_alex1_032616_01post_alex1_032616_02post_alex1_032616_03post_alex1_032616_04post_alex1_032616_05Suit, Shirt, Belt, Loafers, Pocket Square: J.Crew |
Shades: Ray-Ban Club Masters |
Lapel Pin and Ring: Harrison Black Accessories |
Watch and Band: Daniel Wellington

Looking for a way to enhance your spring wardrobe? A tan or khaki suit is the perfect option, especially since they can be worn with almost any color or print. Imagine styling your suit with a light colored gingham button down and pastel knit tie with floral accessories. Sounds like a great look, right?

Just in case you are still looking for another option, Alex drops by UnregisteredStyle to show off his khaki suit.

Like most khaki suits, this one is very weather appropriate. Alex agrees and had this to say, “The key to pulling off a full suit as temperatures rise is to go with lighter fabrics, like the chino seen here, and unlined jackets to let you breath a bit. To keep yourself cool as things heat up and you’re more incline to take lunch outdoors, ditch the socks and keep your ankles lotioned for some extra ventilation as well.”

In addition, Alex used a few accessories for a little flare. He states, “With the suit and its slim cut being a statement in itself, I used accessories to add a little more flair. Going for contrasting patterns in the same complementary color family in the pocket square and belt work well. Also, the red of the lapel pin complements the pink of the oxford and ties it all together with the watch band.”

We at the UnregisteredStyle endorse this look. Great job Alex!
