Jeans: Hot Topic | Shoes: Steve Madden

Last month, I made a few purchases from ASOS during their annual fall sale. Luckily, I found this tweed blazer for only $20. Yes, $20! Of course this inexpensive purchase was a great addition to my wardrobe.

That being said, I decided to pair it with a navy polka dot button-up, skinny jeans, and leather oxford lace-ups. Now, if you haven’t noticed, I decided to mix match patterns again with the shirt and blazer. The blazer’s tweed material and the shirt’s polka dot prints compliment each other well.

To accessorize, I added my favorite mustard socks to the mix. Since we all know about my love and appreciation for the yellow family, it’s safe to say that these socks complete my look. They definitely add a nice touch!

Plaid Shirt: Ralph Lauren | Shoes: Thrifted

Just when you thought it was too good to be true, the temperature is finally dropping this week. Before I bring out my heavy outerwear, I decided to keep it light in this week’s #MensStyleMondays post.

Since I was in a rush today, I decided to throw on my favorite black skinny jeans with a scoop neck tee, tassel loafers, and wide brim fedora. When wearing all black, there’s not much too it. Just stay away from mix matching different shades of black.

Yes, there are different shades of black! You don’t want to wear a newly purchased black tee with a faded pair of black jeans. That could look a little odd.

For a pop of color, I added my old Ralph Lauren plaid button-down to this mix.

Overall, this look is definitely 1960s nostalgia at it’s best. If you are an avid reader, you know how I feel about little retro looks.

So, how do you plan to work around this seasonal change? Feel free to share with us in the comments section below.

Whether you are dining at a five star restaurant or catching a late night movie, you always want to dress up for a date.

Dating? What is dating? Before the infamous “Netflix and chill” became a way of life, there was a time when we actually made an effort to court outside the bedroom.

Unlike most people from our generation, I actually enjoy dating. Keep in mind, I’ve wasted plenty of money on failed blind dates and Tinder meetups. However, you can’t go wrong when your main agenda is out dress the competition.

For this specific look, I paired together my old black blazer from Forever21, with a Ralph Lauren button-up, burgundy chinos, and tassel loafers. You can never go wrong with dark colors, especially during the fall. So, this outfit was perfect for courting season.

I further accessorized my date look with a black knit tie, and polka dot pocket square. Remember, it’s all about the minor details.

Jeans: ASOS | Boots: DSW

After surviving the “not-so” catastrophic events of Hurricane Joaquin this weekend, I decided to get some wear and tear out of my favorite trench coat. To be honest, this trench coat rarely gets to see daytime before November. However, this weekend was a wet one, which required a more water resilient coat. So, wearing a trench coat was the best option.

Worn with a long-line graphic tee, distressed skinny jeans, and leather combat boots, this trench coat put the final touches on my post apocalyptic mother nature look.

In reference to the minor details, the graphic tee itself was purchased for $1 from H&M a couple weeks ago during their mid season sale. Yes $1! Prior to double checking the price with the cashier, I was startled myself. Furthermore, this shirt was a win for me, especially with it’s “Good at Being Bad” message. I have to admit, that’s kind of my mood right now. In combination with my distressed denim jeans and combat boots, my inner bad boy persona was unleashed.

How did you hold up during Hurricane Joaquin this weekend? Was your closet prepared for inclement weather like mine?

When you get a chance, feel free to share with us in the comments section below.
