I’m not sure exactly what’s been going on with my personal style lately, but I have been going through a “black” phase. Normally, you can catch me wearing a pair of light washed skinny jeans, a colorful tank, and loafers around town. Lately, I have been wearing all black, literally. Similar to last week’s #MensStyleMondays post, the outfit shown above is an accurate representation of my personal style this season.

Why do you like wearing black so much this time of the year? Well, with black, you don’t have to worry about stains and matching. Everything just flows together nicely. Plus, these “Do It Yourself” distressed skinny jeans look great when worn with a basic, solid color black tee and sneakers. I actually happened to find these sneakers under my bed. They have been collected dust for a couple years now. Needless to say, they went perfect with my outfit.

Did you incorporate black into your spring wardrobe? Tell us about it in the comments section below.

Okay, so I know it’s spring, but I have been wearing all black for a few months. Why? As I have stated many times in the past, the all black look is very affordable, comfortable, and fashion friendly. You definitely can’t beat that, especially if you are on a budget.

For example, this all black outfit was purchased for less than $50. Wow, only $50? Yes! Between the “Do It Yourself” denim jeans, and the reasonably price sweatshirt, I had no problem swiping my credit card for a few great deals.

So, before the season is over, make sure you wear a few black pieces before it gets too hot outside.

Since cuffing season has officially ended, is there any other recreational activity that involves getting to know someone outside the bedroom? Perhaps we should actually try dating again.

Dating? What does that word even mean in 2015? Well, for the few of us that don’t hide behind their cell phones and spam accounts through social media, going on dates is a great way meet new people and find a potential soul mate.

Okay, so once I land a date, what the heck do I wear?

Remember, presentation is the key!If you are the average Joe Schmo, t-shirts and joggers are no longer an option. Think about it! If you want to impress someone, you want to look and feel great. So, you can’t go wrong with a button-up, tailored jacket, hemmed dress pants, and a neck tie. Call me old fashioned, but you will definitely seal the deal with this combo.

Often, a sport coat and dress pants may come off as “Strictly Business.” So, if you don’t want to look like a salesman, add some prints and a little pop of color to the mix. Just take some notes from my outfit.

So, I hope this new eye candy appreciates the amount of time and effort that’s being put into your wardrobe. Good luck this season, and may the odds be forever in your favor.

Jeans: River Island | Chelsea Boots: DSW Shoe Warehouse

Apparently, red and double denim are the hottest trends for men this spring. Who would have guessed? Either way, I don’t mind keeping out all my late winter clothes. It’s actually very chilly outside, and I just recovered from a mile case of strep throat.

Today, I decided to stay bundled up in my old denim shirt from H&M, Ralph Lauren flannel button-up, River Island skinny jeans, and suede chelsea boots from DSW Shoe Warehouse.

Typically, I wear most of my flannel and denim shirts with darker wash jeans. More specifically, black skinny jeans, Why? Darker jeans in general look great when paired with flannel materials. Remember, no matter the color, the shirt will always stand out with the right jeans.

Also, if you are having problems deciding a shoe, you can always go with a leather boot. Yes, I am quite aware that sneakers and skinny jeans have become best friends in 2015, but I am not a “Sneaker Head” at all. I actually prefer my favorite pair of brown or black boots instead.

If you are still looking for a stylish transitional look, don’t forget to keep around your red and flannel pieces!
