After a weekend of Birthday fun, let’s keep this one short.

Depending how long you have been checking out UnregisteredStyle, you may or may not know that I am obsessed with tribal prints.

Why? I’m not sure, but I’ve always found them very stimulating to the eye.

Today, I decided to wear my tribal print button-up with a pair of European cut, salmon colored chino shorts. Just think about it! There’s nothing like adding a little color to your outfit. It helps balance out the outfit.

Continuing with this look, I slipped in my favorite summer shoe, the Huarache Sandal. I actually got these bad boys from DSW Shoe Warehouse last summer. They are ideal for any hot day in the sun.

After 5: Mix and Match

Philadelphia native, MyAsia, is a graphic designer with a natural niche for color coordination. Now, if you ever have a chance to drop in town, you can catch MyAsia walking through center city wearing an array of colors and hues. It’s obvious she loves mix and matching colors and prints.

For this particular look, MyAsia decided to mix and match contemporary patterns with autumn and summer color.

She had this to say about her outfit, “For this look I wanted to go vintage with a twist. Polka dots, a beaded collar, corduroy skirt, combined with a pop of color.”

Yes, we love this look MyAsia! Your polka dot top is giving us a modern take on the 1960s fashion trend.

Even better, MyAsia paired her top with an earthy toned corduroy skirt. She finished off her look by adding a pop of color with her pastel colored heels. Based on her previous looks, you can tell MyAsia has a little obsession with the color pink.

In addition, we love how MyAsia is able to combine her cultural roots, with her personal style. She states, ” The tribal lines in my hair and the braids symbolizes me embraces my culture. Just because you have braids doesn’t mean you are required to wear African printed clothing all the time.”

We agree MyAsia! Let’s step outside of the stereotypes of society with a chic and colorful look.

How Did I Wear…

post_bryce1_080315_01post_bryce1_080315_02post_bryce1_080315_03post_bryce1_080315_04post_bryce1_080315_05Bowtie: ReignBowties | Shirt: H&M |

How did I wear…a floral bow tie?

It’s safe to say that I have officially out grown my “Dapper” or “Classic Man” persona.

Why? I’m not really sure honestly? I’ve bee pulling the whole blazer, and dress pants look over eight years, and I guess it’s time for a change.

Lately, I’ve been going through this button-up chinos phase for a while. If you don’t believe me, just take a look at today’s look. Normally, I feel would naked without my navy blazer. However, I decided to keep it a little simple with my floral bow tie.

Tip: If you want to get a little adventurous with a printed tie, wear solid colors. Preferably, colors that are within the same color scheme as the tie. For example, if you have a floral print tie with pastel colors, stay away from wearing other bold prints. You don’t want to take any attention away from your original neck wear.

As shown above, I went with a very simplistic look. By wearing a basic white button-down, olive chinos, and saddle shoes, I was able to compliment my floral tie very well.

Tip: If white is not your color, pair your floral bow tie with a light wash denim shirt. That will definitely put a different spin on your contemporary look.

So, where did you get the tie from Bryce Lennon? My friends over at ReignBowties sent me on of their best pre-tied bowties to wear. As you can see, I love it!

Make sure head over to their website, you can find a bow tie that reflects your personal style. You won’t be dissappointed!

Remember that time it was the first day of summer? I certainly remember! I was finishing up my last week of school, socializing at day parties, and planning a few trips to the Jersey shore. Two months later, I’ve only been to a couple day parties, and still haven’t made it to the beach.

Needless to say, I’m still dressed like it’s the third week of June.

Today, I decided to squeeze into my black, distressed skinny jeans, deep scoop neck, and leather oxford boots. Black skinny jeans and boots in August? Trust me, it’s not that bad. Most of the time, I rarely sweat in them. I guess all those New York trips have finally influenced my wardrobe, especially with the tied shirt look.

Also, don’t be afraid to show a little chest fellas. You know me, the chest will be out until the first day of Autumn.
