After 5: Camo Blazer

post_kris2_052815_01post_kris2_052815_02post_kris2_052815_03post_kris2_052815_04post_kris2_052815_06 Blazer: Guess |
Tank and Jeans: Topman |
Boots: Cole Haan

For this week’s individual style feature, we had an opportunity to catch up with of our regulars this season, Kris. Straight out of the Big Apple, Kris shows us how to style a camo blazer.

As mentioned in a previous, camo is not the easiest print to style. If you don’t believe us, just ask Kris. He states, “Camo is probably the only pattern that is at the same time safe but also risky. Camo had emerged to be one of the go-to designs in both tops, and bottoms; making it an all-around lasting trend. At the same time, it can be difficult to select the right camo colors and match them with the rest of your fit.”

We agree Kris! When wearing camo, you may want to consider wearing light or dark, solid colors. Since the print is very loud, you want to keep the rest of your outfit simple.

For this look, Kris wanted to go outside of the box. So, he threw on his newly purchased black, white, and grey blazer with a fitted shirt and jeans. Kris had this to say about his blazer, “To me, this color way and design on a blazer is elusive so I wasted no time purchasing it. Since it is approaching warmer weather, it is okay to wear a clean and fitted t shirt or tank top under your blazer this season.”

To complete his look, Kris threw on a pair of black Chelsea boots. If you are not into boots during the summer, he also suggests wearing a low-profile sneaker.

How Did I Wear…

post_bryce1_081815_01post_bryce1_081815_02post_bryce1_081815_03post_bryce1_081815_04post_bryce1_081815_05Cardigan: Forever21 | Shorts: ASOS |
Shoes: Steve Madden

How did I wear…a tribal print cardigan?

Well, if you take a look at one of the pictures shown above, I’m wearing little to no clothing.

Why? Well, remember that time there was a 60 percent probability of rain, and it was 90 degrees outside? Well, it’s too humid to wear another piece of clothing under my cardigan. So, I decided to leave my shirt at home, and went outside bare chested.

Tip: Just in case you don’t feel comfortable going outside bare chested, try a thin tank top. I always pick up my tank tops from H&M and ASOS, since they have the cheapest prices. Of course, there are other options out there depending on your liking.

For the lower half of my outfit, I went with my favorite distressed, light washed denim jeans, and a pair of leather oxford lace-up shoes.

Tip: For bottoms, you could either go with a pair of shorts, denim jeans, swim trunks, or joggers. Remember though, it’s a little hot outside. So, you may want to stick with the shorts.

In short, I love this look! It’s perfect for one of those weekend trips to NYC during the summer. I can just sit back relax, and not worry about my clothes getting too sweaty. Well, maybe under my armpits, but that’s why we have great deodorants.

How would you turn your winter cardigan into a summer staple? Feel free to share with us in the comments section below!

Men’s Style Mondays

post_bryce1_070315_01post_bryce1_070315_02post_bryce1_070315_03post_bryce1_070315_04post_bryce1_070315_05Button-Up: Ralph Lauren | Shirt: ASOS |
Jeans: H&M | Shoes: Urban Outfitters

Sorry for the lack of updates on the blog, and Instagram page. I’ve been staying busy with work, social activities, Birthday celebrations, wedding crashing, and road tripping. With all that being said, I’m actually burnt out.

So, for this week’s #Mensstylemondays post, I decided to keep it casual with a striped button-up, v-neck tee, distressed jeans, and a pair of asian slippers.

Bryce are you going through something? Where are your tassel loafers? Yes, I know this outfit is more casual than my usual attire, but we all have our down days. I barely have enough time to eat, let alone putting together an entire outfit.

Honestly, this is one of those, “Let’s go to the mall,” type of outfits. It’s perfect for a relaxed a weekend with the friends, or taking a stroll around a park. Plus, all these items were purchased for dirty cheap back in 2011, except the distressed skinny jeans. I actually made those last spring.

So, what do you think about this look? I know it’s simple, but feel free to share some comments with us below.

Casual: Thrifted

post_lawrence1_053015_01post_lawrence1_053015_02post_lawrence1_053015_03post_lawrence1_053015_04post_lawrence1_053015_06Outfit: Thrifted

Earlier this season, we had an opportunity to catch up with Lawrence, aka the Vintographer, creator of “THE VINTAGE VANDALISM.”

Wait, Lawrence lives in Philadelphia? Not at all! The Vintographer stopped through the City of Brotherly Love to shoot a few projects. He actually spent the entire summer tour shooting various projects up and down the east coast.

During his time in Philadelphia, he decided to show off one of his latest summer looks.

With an outfit purchased entirely from a thrift store, Lawrence decided to step outside of his comfort zone. On a regular, you can catch the Vintographer wearing a double breasted blazer, with a button-up, and tailored dress pants. Today, he is wearing a short sleeved polo shirt, tailored dress pants, oxford shoes, and plaid printed hat, which were all purchased from thrift stores.

Thrift stores? Yes, can you believe it? Since we know Lawrence, we understand his thrifting talent. So, gentleman, take notes! If you are looking for an upscale, fashion reference this summer, feel free to utilize Lawrence.

How do you like his outfit? Feel free to share with us in the comments section below.
