Men’s Style Mondays

Today is our first “official” #MensStyleMondays post for this season!

In preparation for autumn, I just put away all of my summer and spring clothes. Unfortunately, I may have jumped the gun since its still 70 to 80 degrees outside. It looks like I’ll be wearing tweed vests, knitted neckties, and wool blazers until March or April.

Okay, maybe I exaggerated just a little bit, but I do plan on wearing these clothes for a long time.

With all that being said, I put together a little autumn inspired look for this post. Check out the full outfit details below.!

Waistcoat: Macys | Button-Down: Ralph Lauren | Necktie: Urban Outfitters | Chinos: GAP | Socks: Ralph Lauren | Shoes: Thrifted

If you are that gentleman with a very short torso, here is a little pointer. Try to invest in something that will help elongate your upper body.

Depending on your style preferences, you may have a different opinion than myself. Personally, I love wearing waistcoats to help camouflage my short torso.

Here is what I love about them:

1) Waist coats are very adjustable. Simply adjust the strap in the back, and you can have a very form fitting vest.

2) Depending where you shop, waist coats are very affordable. For instance, the waistcoat I wore today was purchased on sale for $15, which was a steal!

3) Waist coats are made in a variety of styles and colors. In the pictures shown above, I am wearing a wool vest. Technically, I own at least eight waistcoats that I wear on a regular basis but the wool one is my personal favorite.

For the rest of my outfit, I focused on minor details. Take the burgundy, white, and black printed polka dots for instance. I carried this print throughout my socks and pocket square. The polka dots add something different to my look.

What do you think? What little tricks do you have to elongate your body parts? Please let us know in the comment section below!

Casual: Kimono

“No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace as I have seen in one autumnal face.” -John Donne

Today marks the first official day of  autumn and we are excited for to inform you about a number of additions to our website. In the next three months, be on the look out for new models, features, and contests this season on

With that being said, there is no better way to kick off this season than with a new UnregisteredStyle model. Without further ado, we would like to introduce everyone to a familiar face, Brittany Kelly! For those of you who don’t remember, Brittany submitted a photo to us for a “Feature Friday” post.

Today, she is back  from summer with a fresh, autumn inspired look. Check out the full feature below!

“The colors within the kimono are versatile enough for it to be worn as a summer cover-up or worn under a leather jacket for the fall.” -Brittany

Brittany started off this look on the right track. Her Aztec print kimono from Urban Outfitters was a perfect purchase. Seriously, every girl needs a few statement pieces in her closet, and this was definitely a winner for Ms. Kelly.

Honestly, you can never go wrong with Aztec prints in general. They are perfect for those cooler months.

“I would like to thank the Geishas for inventing the kimono—they would never go out of style in my book.” -Brittany

Since the kimono is a very detailed piece, it was important for Brittany to dress down the rest of her outfit. So, she added one of her favorite black crop tops to the mix.

With her upper half completed, Brittany had to pull together the rest of her outfit. Like the crop top, she wanted to go simple. So, Brittany went to her closet and grabbed an old pair of denim jeans. Although these jeans were a perfect fit, they were still missing something. Brittany put her thinking cap on, grabbed her scissors, and began distressing her own jeans. She states,“This was a DIY project gone perfect! I just tugged and stabbed at them for a while, and voila—a holey denim was created. I wear them as often as I can without wearing them too much, whatever that means!”

Kimono: Urban Outfitters | Crop top: Top Shop | Jeans: Lucky  | Hat: American Eagle

Anyone that knows me understands why I love Big Brother on CBS!

“Big Brother?! That show still comes on?”

Yes, my favorite show still comes on at least three times a week. If you have never heard of Big Brother before, let me give you a quick rundown on how things work. You take fourteen to sixteen of the most controversial individuals from around the country, lock them in a house for ninety seven days, and throw in a few curve balls and twists to stir up the game. With that formula, Big Brother is made.

After sixteen complete seasons, Big Brother still manages to create reality television stars over night. For instance, during season sixteen, we saw an obsessed cowboy, a sassy pastor, a hot mother of three, a groundskeeper, a beautiful model, and a famous pop singer’s older sibling win the hearts of America. Well, some of these houseguests were hated by America, but you get the point.

This season, there was one pre jury houseguest that stuck out to me the most, and she goes by the name Amber Borzotra. Although her game was cut short after being the target of a newly formed alliance, Amber continued her humanitarian efforts outside the house with her #TeamAmber #BB16 t-shirts. Take some time to check out my fully custom #TeamAmber shirt below!

T-Shirt: #TeamAmber | Denim Jacket: Levis | Khakis: ASOS

There are two reasons why I love this shirt so much. Number one, its full customizable. For a little bit extra money, you can change the color and style on the shirt. I purchased a medium sized, men’s tee in the mint color. I have to say this shirt is very appealing. It went great with my denim jacket, khakis, and desert boots.

Second, all the proceeds from the shirts will be donated to the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, which is one of the foremost cancer research and treatment facilities in the United States. The website itself states, “This is in tribute to Amber’s family, which has been touched by cancer all-too-often, including Amber’s stepfather Brian, whose passing Amber has discussed on the Live Feeds, and also to the Grande Family, through whom the loss of Frankie’s grandfather has been felt throughout the Big Brother community.”

You can’t help but commend a woman that is striving to make the world a better place. If you are interested in a shirt, head over to for more information. Also, follow Amber on her journey on Instagram @amberborzotra.

Casual: Denim Vest

With the first day of  autumn just a couple days away, we would like to send off summer with a bang! Now, what is this “bang” we speak of? What’s not a better way to end this season than with a new model. Well for one, For this feature, we would like to introduce Ariana Wright to our UnregisteredStyle community.

As a resident of Philadelphia, PA , Ariana relates her own experiences with fashion to the regular activities she encounters on a daily basis. She states, “My style varies depending on the day and the events. It ranges from androgynous, to preppy, to bright African prints while my hair reflects with twist outs, braids, turbans and wraps. With confidence I believe you are able to cross any style lines.”

Without a doubt, Ariana is no stranger to comfort, individuality, and confidence. Below, she shows us how to add edge to a casual outfit with a denim vest.

When asked about her denim vest, Ariana had this to say, “I love my jean vest! It is my go-to item in the summer. You can use it to transform any outfit into something that is more casual. I believe everyone should have a jean jacket, vest, or shirt to throw on ANY outfit for a different look.” -Ariana

Yes, everyone should invest a denim vest. They can be worn with t-shirts, tanks, and depending on how you wear it, button-downs. In Ariana’s case, she paired her denim vest with a simple white tank top. These simple additions were perfect for a brunch date in the city.

“I would say these outfits are Cute and Casual. They can be worn with flats or wedges and are comfortable enough to be worn all day in the heat of the summer.” -Ariana

Yes Ariana, this outfit is very cute! If you wanted a second option instead of the skirt, any pair of pants or shorts will work. Even better, try a pair of colored trousers. There’s no better way to add that extra pop of color to a denim vest.

Thank you Ariana for helping us close out this season. Feel free to show Ariana some love on Instagram @yanabobana.
