This weeks Style Spotlight is Adjua, a South Jersey based fashionista that loves everything comfortable and cute. We sat down with Adjua to talk about how her style inspirations, favorite places to shop, and why she doesn’t give a damn about what people have to say about her outfit choices. Where are you from?

I’m from Delran, NJ.

How do you define your personal style? What or who are your some of your style inspirations?

My personal style just has to deal with comfort. I want to be cute and comfortable . Honestly, I wear black a lot, but I do experiment with color when it comes to make-up.

Some of my style inspirations include Simone Mariposa (@simonemariposa) and Cardi B, who has been going crazy with her style.

When it comes to make-up, Naezrah (@naezrahlooks) is amazing!

What are the essential pieces you must have in your closet?

I must have sandals, a jean jacket, a few little bralettes, Chucks, and Vans.

Where do you shop?

Wherever! If I see something cute, I’ll buy it. Sometimes, I like fast fashion places like Boohoo and SHEIN or stores like Wal-Mart and Target. You can even catch me shopping at the thrift store or my Mom’s closet.

Describe your personal style in three words?

Comfortable, hoochie, and playful!

Any fashion related tips?

Just wear whatever makes you comfortable. Wear what you like! Fuck what everyone else has to say. There have been times where I’ve gotten rude comments or stares about what I’m wearing, but I look cute as shit! Wear whatever you feel confident in.
