Meet Stephanie, a brand expert and fashionista from Northeast Philadelphia.

For this week’s Style Spotlight feature, we had an opportunity to link up with the “Confidence Queen” herself, Stephanie (aka @steph.thegreat). When she’s not helping brands build their social media presence, Stephanie loves to play dress up in front of the cameras. Below, she answers questions about fashion, style, and everything in between:

Where are you from?

Northeast Philadelphia.

How do you define your personal style? What or who are your some of your style inspirations?

I would define my style as feminine, yet edgy and bold! I get a lot of my inspiration from my life experiences and how I was brought up. I’m a proud Haitian (The first free black republics, and the first country to ban slavery), and with that, I have to be bold! I already have a bold personality, and I’m going to give you a lot to look at anyway.

What are the essential pieces you must have in your closet?

My black turtleneck! I’m addicted! I have so many!

In addition,  I can’t go without my black leather jacket, knee-high boots, and black suede pants. They’re all staples in my closet.

Where do you shop?

You may not believe me, but I shop at Wal-Mart, Amazon, Fashion Nova, Primark, and thrift stores. I love thrift stores and Wal-Mart!

Describe your personal style in three words?

Bold, fun, and risky!

Any fashion related tips?

But wait…there’s more! Don’t be afraid to do something that someone of your “size” or “height” should not do. Don’t be afraid to take risks. For example, you can always wear two bold statement pieces instead of one. There’s always room for more!
