Hey everyone! Have you met Shannon, aka @swavyjones, of #HIGHENDco. yet? She’s a passionate entrepreneur from Philadelphia, PA that plans to take the city by storm with her latest collection found here. Read on to learn more about Shannon, the entrepreneur, and how she defines her personal style within the fashion industry:

Where are you from?

Philadelphia, PA.

How do you define your personal style? What are your inspirations?

My personal style is based on mood. I really go off how I feel that day. For example, even when the occasion isn’t set for comfy, if I want to feel comfy, I’m going to dress comfy. My style is based around how I’m feeling that day.

In addition, I like dark colors in a sense. More specifically, shades of black. I like something loud on top of black. Think black and yellow or black and lime green. You know, I like a pop of color.

What are the essential pieces you must have in your closet?

I always have to have turtlenecks, trench coat, and denim for certain. You will ALWAYS find denim in my closet. It’s a nice piece to add on regular clothes. You can literally throw denim on sweatpants or chinos and it will look good.

Where do you shop?

H&M, Zara, and HIGHENDco. I actually create a lot of my own pieces.

Describe your personal style in three words?

Edgy, bold, and super duper fly!

Any fashion related tips?

Since we’re approaching winter, dress in layers. We don’t have to wear big puffy jackets. Layer it up, and make it look good. Think turtlenecks, big oversized sweatshirts, and long coats.
