The perfect swipe, literally: Mushe + Sierra

Introducing Mushe and Sierra, another Philly based couple who found love on the popular dating app, Tinder. One quick swipe, and the rest was history! Want the full scoop? Check out their love story below:

Where did you meet, and what did you think about each other when you met for the first time?

Sierra: We met on Tinder, and he was my first swipe. Then, we met up two or three days later at Club NOTO. The moment I laid eyes on him, I thought he was so handsome. Seriously, just look at that smile! He’s so cute!

Mushe: On the way to NOTO, I was texting Sierra to see if she was on the way. She wasn’t at all (She was very late)! She showed up before 1am, and couldn’t get inside the club because she didn’t have an I.D. at the time. In person though, I thought Sierra was very cute, bubbly, and full of energy. Although it was early, I could see us lasting longer than anyone else I’ve ever dated.

Sierra: By the next week, he even invited me to a wedding (The wedding was three months away)!

How has your relationship grown through the pandemic?

Sierra: Our schedules were very different before the pandemic. Mushe wakes up early, comes home late, and then he does his own thing on the weekends. Fast forward to 2021, where we see each other all time. We even made the decision to move in together, which brought us a lot closer. Also, you have to get creative with your time spent together during the pandemic. There were days and weeks where we grew tired of each other. Little stuff starts ticking you off here and there. Creating intimate occasions like date night when you can’t go out for date night are really special.

Mushe: It wasn’t a fairytale. Of course, we went through some good and bad times together. Think about it, we’re spending all our time together, and it’s going to get hard. In the end, it made our relationship stronger.

What makes this “Love Experience” different from any other relationship you’ve had in the past?

Sierra: This is one of my first relationships when I’m in “that stage.” I’m an adult now. When we first met, I was twenty six, transitioning out of that post college phase (A lot of partying, and still having fun). I met him when I was trying to figure myself out. One thing I will say about Mushe is that he’s very honest. I can be brat at times, and calls me out on it. You need a man like that though I just love him, and his face is so cute!

Mushe: In past relationships,  I’ve never been in anything longer than Sierra and I (More than two years). When I met her, I could tell Sierra knew what she was doing, and understood her goals in life. That really inspired me!

Where do you see your relationship in the next five years?

Mushe: We’ve talked about marriage, and a family. We’ll keep working on that, and see where things go.

Sierra: A few weeks ago, Mushe told me that he wants a baby within the next five years, but what about my ring though? We can do the baby of course, after the ring.

For anyone struggling in the dating world, what advice would you give them in regards to sustaining a healthy and loving relationship?

Mushe: Don’t ever force a relationship. Just let everything happen naturally. If you meet someone, be you and don’t change. If they can’t accept that, move on.

Sierra: I second that! I love his answer.
