“The Love Experience” is an editorial project that features dynamic couples in love. The series, shot by fashion photographer, Bryce Lennon, aims to highlight diversity within the world of fashion.
For this week’s feature, we are excited to see what our next couple has in store for us. These two love birds have been together since undergrad, and celebrated their year anniversary last month. One word, amazing! A long term commitment is such a major accomplishment, especially in your twenties. So, without further ado, we would like to introduce everyone to Leon and Sam!
As briefly mentioned, their love story began in college at West Chester University. Sam approached Leon at a party, and it’s been fireworks ever since. She states, “I went to West Chester University, and Leon’s sister went there as well. There was an event, and Leon was the DJ. Someone told me to go up to him, and say “Hi.” So, I did and gave him a hug. From there, we spoke back and forth, and it was a wrap!”
Sam, you made it sound so simple, and we are here for it all! We’re sure that little “hi” was super creative to keep Leon’s attention while on the clock. Speaking of creativity, the foundation of every relationship is like a canvas, with each paint stroke representing its many layers. When it comes to their relationship, Leon and Sam have gotten a little creative over the years and have figured out what works best for them. They have created their own “rules” over time. In regards to these rules, Leon has this to say, “Make your own rules! Don’t let anyone tell you the rights and wrongs of love because only you can make it up.” Remember, you are the artist in your relationship, no one else!
For other aspiring couples, Sam suggests to maintain authenticity throughout your entire relationship. She states, “My advice would be to stay authentic. I feel like a lot of times, people force relationships. Just be your authentic self, and let love come to you.”
