Street Style: The Colored Chino

Like various articles of clothing in the United States, chino pants have transcended beyond military uniforms, to civilian attire. The chino fabric was initially created to be simple and comfortable  for military soldiers to wear. The chino fabric was originally created in earth-toned colors, and eventually became camouflage.

In modern times, chino pants have become a norm for everyday attire that children, teenagers, and adults wear.  For a number of years, the chino was created in the khaki color, mostly in a looser fit. Today, chino pants are more fitted and offered in a variety of colors.

In response to this post, we meet up with our friend Derek. As a man of the United States Air Force, Derek knows a thing or two about uniformity and personal style. Today, we are showcasing Derek’s street style, specifically his orange colored chinos.

“Always be prepared for all weather conditions, hence the jacket and boots”

Some may find difficulty adjusting to inclement weather when traveling throughout the day. However, Derek has no problem wearing various layers to keep warm, but still manages to incorporate spring colors in his chinos. The bright colored chinos definitely draw attention to this casual outfit.

Why wear boots on a rainy day? There are more reasons than one but Derek’s Ralph Lauren Polo Boots are an easy remedy to dry socks in the Spring. Not only stylish, but these boots offer a variety of looks to any outfit. As mentioned previously, Derek’s street look is simple but incorporates urban style.
