At the UnregisteredStyle, we have defined the term “vintage” as fashion or articles of clothing inspired by a previous era. Most vintage items were previously worn and donated to second hand stores. A small percentage of unworn vintage items are more valuable than those that have been worn. In summary, most people purchase the already worn articles of clothing.
There are various reasons why individuals are inspired by vintage clothing. One specific reason is the low, inexpensive price for a vintage item. For example, a new leather jacket is priced at $120 in a popular retail store in comparison to a second hand store that prices a vintage leather jacket at $15
Today we have another street style post. This time, we are featuring Acira, a trendy social worker with an eye for fashion. This central Jersey native has an eye for bright colors and vintage clothing.

Acira describes her style as “quirky, eclectic and authentic,” which is shown from her session with us. You will definitely notice Acira’s individual style a mile away.
Our neighborhood social worker is no stranger to buying on a budget and still looking like a million bucks. The dress shirt and pants are vintage items borrowed from her Grandmother, with the booties purchased from Forever21.

“I would most likely wear this outfit on a short road trip to visit friends for a casual social event.”
Although her Grandmother wore this top “Back in the Day,” Acira definitely has taken this item and given it a modern spin. This top probably could be seen in our popular retail stores today and Acira borrowed it for free. Nothing is like saving money on a popular find. Also, her vintage top offers a great versatile look that could be worn to both work and an evening with friends. For the bottoms, the bright green pants further draw attention to her entire outfit.

Without a doubt, Acira’s outfit will definitely stand out in any crowd. Show Acira some love and follow her on instagram.
