The fourth of July weekend has been a complete overcast with a single layer of clouds.
In the event of a potential downpour, I decided to step out in my old short sleeve denim shirt from Gap, navy khaki shorts from Nordstrom Rack, and light weight saddle shoes from G.H. Bass.
For a little patriotic fun, I wore my American Flag printed v-neck t-shirt from ASOS. I’ve actually owned this shirt for at least five years now, and I have yet to wear it more than once.

It’s the first official day of “Summer Sixteen,” and I’m more than excited to show off my latest threads.
So, in honor of my favorite season, I decided to put these summer clothes to some good use. I paired this old tribal print tank from H&M with a pair of DIY distressed denim shorts. This tank consists of a multi-colored, triabl print that serves as both a layering item and shirt.
For a finishing touch, I styled my retro Chuck Taylors with a pair of mid-calf, tube socks. The exposed sock look is going to be a very popular trend this season, especially for all your festival junkies. So, make sure you stop by Wal-Mart and Target to rack up before the season’s out.

Street style inspired clothing is everywhere this season! From runways to educational settings, this fashion trend is never going out of style.
Most of these street style inspired looks can transition from urban to preppy, to chic, to androgynous. Thus, creating your own look.
For instance, take our blogger friend, Tomarra, for example. As shown above, she paired an over-sized, vintage army jacket, with rolled up black jeans, and a grey tank. By adding a multicolored knotted head scarf and over-sized hoop earrings, Tomarra is giving us an “Around the Way Girl” look, with a little vintage chic. This look is a melting pot of different styles. Great job Tomarra!
