How did I wear…a sleeveless denim shirt

For those of you who don’t know me, I have a soft spot for little DIY projects. Think about it! There’s nothing like channeling all your energy through a pair of scissors, especially in an effort to create a masterpiece.

Tip: Creating clothes is just as fun as buying them. Make sure you use outside resources like Youtube and Pinterest to master the art of shredding.

Today, I decided to show off my latest project, the cut-off denim shirt.

I found this shirt hanging around my basement one afternoon. Based on the wear and tear of the denim, it’s safe to assume that this was my brother’s shirt back in high school.

Tip: You can’t go wrong with a little worn denim, especially something from a previous decade. When wearing older pieces, try to through in a few modern pieces to create a timeless look.

Whatever the case may be, I cut-off the sleeves to recreate the 90s.

Just like any other denim shirt, I styled this one with a tribal print tank, white denim jeans, and sandals. The white jeans really add a lot of character to the look. They are so crisp and bright.

Tip: Keeping it simple is your best option. The cut-off shirt looks its best when worn solid colors or simple prints.

Today, D’Angelo has no problem contrasting his khaki colored suit with a splash of navy, green, and white. With the addition of the pinstrip button-up shirt and wingtip oxford shoes, this outfit is ideal for a day at the office or an exciting evening out. Take your pick fellas!

In reference to accessories, a classic look can always be enhanced with a few minor details. For this particular look, D’Angelo further styled his suit with a paisley print necktie and gingham print pocket square.

Jeans: H&M | Shoes: ASOS

After doing some spring cleaning, I stumbled across this old flannel button-up hanging in my closet.

So, here’s a little fun fact about this shirt. This button-up was purchased way back in my college days, and only been worn three times. I guess you can say it’s been hidden all this time.

As far as styling, this shirt really pops with with darker colors. So, in this particular case, I styled it with a pair of DIY distressed jeans and a leather moto jacket.

For a finishing touch, I threw on my snake-skin slip-on shoes from ASOS.

After 5: Color Block

post_myasia3_032616_01post_myasia3_032616_02post_myasia3_032616_03post_myasia3_032616_04post_myasia3_032616_05Jacket: Pay/Half | Skirt: Rainbow |
Shoes: Eternity Fashion

“With this look, I wants to emphasize how to highlight your look and keep it neutral at the same time.” -MyAsia

Summer is vastly approaching, eight days to be exact, and we have to get our favorite trends together. One of our favorite trends for the upcoming season is color-blocking. Best described as a way to put together bold opposites on the color wheel, color-blocking is the best way to pop color in the blink of an eye.

Today, MyAsia is back with another color-blocked inspired look With the peplum jacket, tribal print skirt, and heels, MyAsia’s outfit is across the color spectrum. Although the colors are prints are completely different, they all work together. She states, “Textures and patterns can always work well together, especially if you wear the confidence right.”

MyAsia makes the following statement to describe her outfit further, “The “be-on” green peplum jacket from Pay/Half for sixteen bucks, may seem like a hard one to style. However, wearing the darker bottom and brighter show always does the trick. The tribal blue pencil skirt from Rainbow for nine bucks can be worn in the evening, and it does well by neutralizing the shoe and jacket. The coral pumps from Eternity Fashion are always my go-to. The taute gray bag, with texture as well, also gives that neutral face a smile.”

Great job MyAsia! We always love the way you describe your outfits.
