In reality, there is never a day when I can’t incorporate some type of colorful print into my wardrobe. That’s what happens when you have a closet that includes everything flannel.

For today’s #mensstylemondays post, I decided to put together another casual look with my newly purchased flannel shirt from ASOS. The important point to notice about this shirt is it’s color. The combination of red and navy hues are very appealing to the human eye. Throw it on with a solid color tee and skinny jeans, and you’ll have a very put together look. If you don’t believe me, just take a look at the outfit above.

In addition to the shirt, these newly purchased brogue shoes compliment my outfit quite well. Just imagine the amount of damage that can be done with these shoes, especially without actual shoe laces.

After 5: The Ascot

Jordan is back on the blog to show off his latest spring look. The last time we checked in with him, Jordan was busy tackling the harsh winds in a thrifted, fur jacket.

Today, is a different story. For this week’s individual style feature, Jordan decided to wear an after five look. This look consists of a khaki blazer, sweater, denim jeans, and a  pair of leather shoes.

We love how Jordan further accessorized his look with an ascot tie and handkerchief.

Ascot? Remember the orange, scarf looking accessory Fred wore from the Adventures of Scooby Doo? In the world of fashion, this little item is called an ascot. Created from a solid color or printed silk material, this tie is the perfect accessory for an upscale brunch, wedding, or dinner party.

As shown above, Jordan’s ascot compliments his outfit quite well. It’s silk print adds a nice touch to an already classy look.

How Did I Wear…

post_bryce2_041516_01post_bryce2_041516_02post_bryce2_041516_03post_bryce2_041516_04post_bryce2_041516_05Shirt: Thrifted | Jeans: H&M |

How did I wear….double denim, again?!

The double denim trend is back this season with a vengeance! Ranging  from light to dark washes, all your favorite denim pieces can be worn separately or easily paired together. Just take your pick!

Tip: For this particular trend, matching and contrasting can be considered synonymous with denim. Matching two similar washes together give off that old school look, while wearing two different washes can bring you up to speed in this decade.

For this particular look, I purchased this button-down from a consignment store a few years back, and it was such a steal. I walked out with a $5 purchase in no time. I love this shirt so much, that it’s worn year round.

Tip: Consignment stores have all the denim! You can find denim from every decade. Even if it doesn’t fit, you can make it work. Remember, the 90’s has been back for a while.

Today, I styled my denim shirt with a pair of skinny jeans from H&M. These jeans were originally purchased for casual Fridays at work, until I distressed them myself.

Tip: When distressing denim jeans, try not to get scissor happy. Just focus on one area, and go from there.

Overall, the slightly contrasting denim pieces look great together, especially with the slip-on sneakers from ASOS. With a very bright exterior and comfortable design, these shoes are perfect for a warm afternoon.

Men’s Style Mondays

post_bryce1_041516_01post_bryce1_041516_02post_bryce1_041516_03post_bryce1_041516_04post_bryce1_041516_05Shirt: H&M | Shorts: H&M |
Tank: ASOS | Boots: G.H. Bass
Bag: Urban Outfitters

Polka dots in general, make a very bold statement. Not only is this print very fun to wear, but it gives off a very nostalgic presence as well.

I’ve found that I like polka dot shirts the most, especially button-downs. Today, I decided to wear my polka dot printed shirt with an old grey tank, cut-off denim shorts, and a pair of suede desert boots.

This particular button-down has been hanging in my closet for quite some time now. Yet, I never wear it out the house. Since the shirt is not exactly tailored to fit correctly, I can only wear it with casual looks. So, it’s loose fit serves as the perfect layering piece over a tank or tee.

Continuing with this outfit, the denim shorts sell the whole package. Now, these are not just any ordinary pair of shorts. They were once skinny jeans that I cut myself.

From the looks of it, I guess you can say that my little DIY project was very successful! These shorts look straight out of a retail store.
