Casual: Camo Pants

“I want everyone to wear what they want and mix it in their own way. That, to me, is what is modern.” ― Karl Lagerfeld

Our friend Marvin decided to drop some spring fashion on us here at UnregisteredStyle. When he’s not mentoring the youth of Philadelphia, he is shopping for yet another pair of Nike blazers to add to his already extensive collection.

Today, Marvin is dressed in a pair of green suede Nikes, Dockers, a Keith Haring tee, and a purple cardigan.

post_man2_91413_01When asked about his personal style, Marvin had this to say, “My personal style is like when street meets the gentleman hipster. I wear a lot of t-shirts and crewnecks (sweatshirts), but I also like to wear button downs and bowties, almost always with jeans, and sneakers are a must. I like to believe I can dress up any pair of sneakers from Jordan’s to Vans.”

He certainly has the urban, boy next door appeal down pat, and we at UnregisteredStyle certainly endorse this look. The layers and the mix of colors are really what make this outfit stand out. Marvin takes fashion risks by pairing seemingly loud colors with understated pieces, such as his dockers. The camo is a variation piece, able to work with a variety of colors.

“This is kind of an everyday outfit. You can wear it pretty much anywhere except work.” -Marvin

Marvin’s outfit can easily work for a plethora of social events, whether it’s  a spring day outing in Philly to a happy hour with his friends at a local hangout. Either way, Marvin is winning in spring time attire, and we thank him for sharing his personal style with our readers.
