Casual: Temperature Adjusting

During one of the milder weeks of fall, we had the opportunity to put our thicker garments away for a short period of time. If you are like me and own a variety of transitional pieces that get put away for each season, it would be hassle to constantly bring out all my summer clothes every time the temperature changes. Thus, it is important to acknowledge an individual that is capable of taking on this task.

We would like to introduce Marvin. This Philadelphia native shows us how to dress appropriately for any seasonal change.

Living up North, seasonal temperature changes occur around late September, with snow accumulating from December to January. However, this year we had an increase in temperature for a short period of time. When the temperature jumped to 60°, pea coats, scarves, and gloves are put back in our closets temporarily.

Taking advantage of abnormal, warm weather is very promising, especially if you have universal pieces in your closet. Rather than putting your winter clothing away, you should add a level of versatility to your outfit by adjusting specific pieces to your liking. Becoming more versatile means adjusting your outfits from adding and removing layers, to wearing thinner materials that you already had out for fall. For example, you may want to take off your jacket and roll up the sleeves of your long sleeve shirt if you are preparing for a trip outside.

Marvin has transformed his casual fall attire into an entirely new outfit. His entire outfit from head to toe is very fall appropriate and can be transformed into a heat resistant ensemble. To block the sun, Marvin threw on a gray fedora that was purchased from Macys. If you are no stranger to Macys, you are aware of their sale rack. You can find a variety of hats from the latest season that are appropriate for fall as well.

As denim continues to dominate the racks of retail stores in America, Marvin enjoys wearing his H&M shirt during the hottest and coolest days of the year. He exclaims, “Denim shirts are cool and I don’t care what anyone says!”

To compliment his denim button-down shirt, Marvin added a bowtie to his outfit. He states, “I think bow ties are a great addition to any button down. Being “bow tie fly” is a great look, but they can’t be pre-tied that’s not fly in my book. “

For the bottom portion of his outfit, Marvin is wearing khakis from H&M and a pair of low top navy, red, and white Blazer AC from Samsung.

“I like finding simple but exclusive sneakers like these. I’ve only seen maybe two other people really wear this style of Blazer.” -Marvin
