Shorts: ASOS |
Boots: DSW

The Salvation Army has been my saving grace when it comes to printed fashion. From short to long sleeve shirts, you can walk away with a vintage, one of a kind item.

Take, for instance, today’s featured outfit. As shown above, I purchased this paisley print short sleeve button-up from the Salvation Army for $5. In a regular retail store, this shirt may run you anywhere between $20 to $50.

While staying on a budget, I styled my shirt with a pair of cut-off shorts from ASOS and these old desert boots from DSW.

I can’t believe it’s the first day of August already! Just a couple of months ago, I spent an entire day transitioning my closet from fall and winter to spring and summer. Next month, I’m going to repeat the process all over again.

With all that being said, I decided to kick off my birthday month in style, I decided to keep it casual in this week’s #mensstylemondays post.

A couple months ago, my sister, Monica, purchased this dashiki for me as a gift. For those of you who don’t know her, Monica always knows how to find a deal. So, when she stumbled across this $5 dashiki, taking it home was a no brainer. It doesn’t hurt that she understands my personal style as well.

I further styled my brightly colored dashiki with a pair of distressed jeans and black sneakers. This is definitely one of those relaxed, cookout looks.

During those scorching hot summer days, finding the perfect outfit can be a stressful task. Why? Well, think about it. You have to take so much to take into consideration when it comes to heat and humidity. There is room for potential armpit stains, poofy hair, and smelly shoes.

So, today I decided to show off these “Summer Sixteen” arms with this simple linen waistcoat from H&M.  For all you festival attendees, the no-shirt movement is very much in style this season.

Paired with the right skinny jeans and boots, this look makes a true fashion statement!

Shoes: Converse

I’m not sure if it was the best decision to wear a 90s inspired outfit on one of the hottest days of the summer, but I pulled it off quite well.

My usual summer attire consists of a tank top and a pair of cut-off denim shorts. However, today was a different story.

As mentioned above, I was fully inspired by the cool kids of the 90s in this printed shirt and joggers combo. The shirt itself was purchased from the thrift store for $5. Yes, $5! You can’t beat that, right?

Furthermore, I purchased these comfortable khaki joggers from American Eagle. For only $15, you can style these comfortable trousers with a pair of high top sneakers.
