How did I wear…a mesh basketball jersey?!

During those really hot summer afternoons, a sleeves shirt is the perfect option. More specifically, you can’t go wrong with a mesh jersey.

Tip: Mesh jerseys are a blast from the past. So, you can try to wear yours with a pair of jeans, shorts, or joggers.

This jersey in particular was purchased from H&M during one of those late spring sales last season.

Tip: If you are having trouble finding a jersey, don’t be afraid to check out your local thrift store.

Since I was going for an athletic look, my newly purchased drop crotch skinny leg joggers from ASOS were the perfect addition. Not only were these pants dirt cheap, they’re extremely comfortable as well. In addition, I purchased these red sneakers from ASOS as well.

I can’t believe it’s the first day of August already! Just a couple of months ago, I spent an entire day transitioning my closet from fall and winter to spring and summer. Next month, I’m going to repeat the process all over again.

With all that being said, I decided to kick off my birthday month in style, I decided to keep it casual in this week’s #mensstylemondays post.

A couple months ago, my sister, Monica, purchased this dashiki for me as a gift. For those of you who don’t know her, Monica always knows how to find a deal. So, when she stumbled across this $5 dashiki, taking it home was a no brainer. It doesn’t hurt that she understands my personal style as well.

I further styled my brightly colored dashiki with a pair of distressed jeans and black sneakers. This is definitely one of those relaxed, cookout looks.
