Lately, I’ve been thinking about starting over. Perhaps because over the past month I have undergone a plethora of changes in my own life. Or perhaps it’s because it’s the beginning of a new season. Dating season that is. I don’t know what it is about summer in the city that makes it come alive and makes people think about love and dating and all that other mushy shit. Personally, summer in the city is my favorite, and I’ll tell you why. It’s hot out, I don’t have to wear a thousand layers, everyone is outside all the time till the wee hours of the morning, and there’s so much to do. I feel like everyone feels a little more confident and sexy when the warm weather approaches, but that’s just me. ANYWAY, I digress.

Street Style: The Colored Chino
Like various articles of clothing in the United States, chino pants have transcended beyond military uniforms, to civilian attire. The chino fabric was initially created to be simple and comfortable for military soldiers to wear. The chino fabric was originally created in earth-toned colors, and eventually became camouflage.
In modern times, chino pants have become a norm for everyday attire that children, teenagers, and adults wear. For a number of years, the chino was created in the khaki color, mostly in a looser fit. Today, chino pants are more fitted and offered in a variety of colors.
In response to this post, we meet up with our friend Derek. As a man of the United States Air Force, Derek knows a thing or two about uniformity and personal style. Today, we are showcasing Derek’s street style, specifically his orange colored chinos.
Street Style: Vintage Attire
At the UnregisteredStyle, we have defined the term “vintage” as fashion or articles of clothing inspired by a previous era. Most vintage items were previously worn and donated to second hand stores. A small percentage of unworn vintage items are more valuable than those that have been worn. In summary, most people purchase the already worn articles of clothing.
There are various reasons why individuals are inspired by vintage clothing. One specific reason is the low, inexpensive price for a vintage item. For example, a new leather jacket is priced at $120 in a popular retail store in comparison to a second hand store that prices a vintage leather jacket at $15
Today we have another street style post. This time, we are featuring Acira, a trendy social worker with an eye for fashion. This central Jersey native has an eye for bright colors and vintage clothing.
